The AH-D7200 is Denon's new reference headphone. It can build on more than 50 years of headphone design and development experience. For more than five decades, we've tinkered with our expertise to make our perfect-sounding headphones so comfortable that you always want to keep listening. These quality headphones use our unique Japanese-made FreeEdge drivers; they ensure precise pulse movement for highly accurate sound with minimal distortion. The drivers are mounted on resin sound boxes that reduce vibration. These are built into self-damping enclosures in real walnut intended to make the sound warm and lively. A detachable copper cable with a purity of 7N, manufactured in Japan to Denon's exact specifications, ensures the best possible signal transmission - it features a durable machine-cut metal plug with a decorative copper ring. The ear cups are attached to a headband, finished in genuine sheepskin leather, with ergonomically curved hangers in injection molded aluminum; the memory foam ear pads are covered with an extremely soft synthetic leather, developed specifically for the AH-D7200. Every part of this uncompromising design is focused on sound quality, comfort and the ultimate listening experience.

Unique FreeEdge driver technology

At the center of the AH-D7200 is the 50mm FreeEdge driver diaphragm, made from a nanofiber material chosen for its inflexibility and low density. This ensures precise pulse movements without distortion; in addition, the system is self-damping to eliminate unwanted resonances within the diaphragm. It is mounted in a soft, compliant frame so that it can move more easily in response to the music signal without distortion or bending. This leads to the purest possible sound.

Ear flaps made of real wood

The beautiful ear buds made of 100% natural walnut enhance the sound experience. They are self-damping and strong; they eliminate unwanted vibrations for super-detailed reproduction that enriches your listening experience with the vibrancy, warmth and musicality of the concert hall.

Luxurious craftsmanship

The outside of the headband is covered in natural sheepskin for a luxurious feel; the inside is made of stitched faux leather for maximum comfort and durability.

Wear comfort

The headband has a perfectly ergonomically aligned design in injection molded aluminum, so it is comfortable and fits perfectly. The ear cushions are wrapped in an extremely soft faux leather, developed specifically for the AH-D7200, and are made of memory foam; allowing them to conform to the shape of your head for a comfortable fit. Perfect adjustment

Keeping in mind differences in head circumference, the adjustable headband works with positive ball-bearing click-stops, good for precise and repeatable adjustment. Numbered markings indicate how your personal adjustment can be quickly and precisely restored.
