Enjoy your favorite record collection or make the step to vinyl with this beautiful semi-automatic belt-driven Denon DP-400 turntable. Operate the arm manually above the vinyl and lower the needle silently onto the record with the oil-damped lift. When the record is finished, the arm automatically returns to the starting position and the motor switches off. This protects both the vinyl and the needle.
This turntable is equipped with a built-in RIAA amplifier. If you have an amplifier with a built-in phono stage, you can switch off the internal pre-amplification of the DP-400, but if your amplifier does not have a phono input or if you use the turntable with a set of active speakers, you can use the built-in RIAA stage. Ideal for your first step into the world of vinyl.
Thanks to the S-shaped tonearm, the error angle of the pre-installed MM cartridge is as small as possible, which minimizes harmonic distortion and maximizes channel separation. If, after a while, you need a higher sound quality, you can replace the MM cartridge with a high-quality Denon MC cartridge. The stylus pressure and transverse force compensation of the tonearm can easily be set by the user for this new cartridge.
The DP-400 has a width of 41 centimeters and integrates seamlessly with the Denon Design Series and other Hi-Fi sets. The dust cover is removable and this prevents the cover from absorbing sound vibrations and sending them via the plinth and the platter and causing distortion. When removed, this dust cover can also be used as a display for vinyl albums.
