Stereo, surround or multi-room

This Sonos Five is part of the highly acclaimed Sonos multiroom and streaming platform. If you own multiple Sonos speakers, you can easily set up a multiroom environment with the Sonos app. Via the free downloadable Sonos smartphone app for iOS or Android, you can configure your Sonos environment to your liking, listen to Internet radio stations and browse through your (online) music library very conveniently.

If you like to stream music directly from your favorite smartphone app, you can do this simply via Airplay 2 with an Apple device. Don't have a smartphone within reach? Then quickly operate this Sonos Five using the touch-sensitive buttons on the top of the speaker. If you would like to play a vinyl album, this is also possible. For this, Sonos has equipped the Five with a 3.5mm line input. This makes this Sonos Five a powerhouse on many levels.

Widely applicable

When placed horizontally, the Sonos Five acts as a stereo speaker with wonderfully spacious music reproduction. The left and right channels are radiated sideways for wall-to-wall stereo playback. This also projects the voice straight ahead, allowing this Sonos Five to reproduce music with even more realism. If you need an even deeper continuous low, combine this Sonos Five with the 3rd generation Sonos Sub.

If you have two Sonos Five speakers, you can configure them in an instant as two separate multiroom speakers or as a stereo pair. In doing so, you only need to place the speakers vertically and select these two speakers as a stereo pair in the Sonos app. With this type of placement, both speakers deliver more precise and detailed music playback. If you have a Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos soundbar, you can even configure a pair of Sonos Five speakers as surround speakers. This is the convenience of Sonos.
