The striking industrial design combines form and function. The combination of metal and plastic in the headband minimizes vibrations at the ear cups, while the handmade microfiber ear cushions provide exceptional comfort even during extended periods of listening.

The HD 800 and the HD 800 S are made in Germany using only the finest materials and components. The reproducer is encased in stainless steel and the headband and headphone assembly use materials developed in the aerospace industry.

'Absorber' technology of the HD 800 S

The enhanced sound reproduction of the HD 800 S is achieved by the addition of the innovative "absorber" technology developed for the Sennheiser IE 800. By absorbing resonance, all frequencies and nuances are reproduced optimally. This innovation is a key element in the construction of the IE 800, and in the HD 800 S it helps bring even greater clarity and precision.
