HiFiMAN HE1000 V2 Stealth

First released in the summer of 2015, the HiFiMAN HE-1000 immediately topped the charts of many hi-fi and headfi magazines around the world. Rarely has a product received such unanimous international reviews. In 2016, this model received a V2 version, and now HiFiMAN is adding Stealth magnets, as well as many other models that were recently updated, such as the Ananda, Arya and more. Listening to the new HE-1000 V2 Stealth, it is immediately apparent that the sound profile has become much more natural, with tight bass and spatial imaging. The addition of Stealth magnets results in less planar edge refraction. Give these headphones plenty of power and they can reproduce even the lowest bass and finest treble with extreme precision.

Many more improvements have been made to the latest design of these headphones, but the award-winning basic design has remained. The angled ear pads now have a polyester surface for long listening sessions without sweating, and the slight angle in the ear pads allows for better front localization and imaging. Furthermore, the entire housing is now aluminum instead of a combination of anodized steel and aluminum in the previous model.

The membrane remained the same, which has a thickness in the nanometer range and uses the patented "window shade grill" to protect the driver. This membrane is actually so thin that if you were to look at it from the side it is almost invisible. It is framed by an asymmetrical magnet system with relatively large magnets on the side facing away from the ear and smaller ones on the side of the headphones facing the ear. This trick reduces interference in playback and provides an extremely fast response due to less "air buildup" between the diaphragm and the magnets.
