Since the K5 Pro became a hit in the market, FiiO has increased their investment in desktop DAC and headphone amplifiers. The K9 Pro was a great proof that was also very popular among high-end users. However, between these two products, a DAC/Amp was still missing to bridge the gap. This time, the K7 checks in to become the new reference base model for a balanced desktop/amp in the FiiO family!

The K7 follows the same audio architecture as in the previous high-end K9 Pro, a true balanced circuit consisting of DAC + LPF + Volume control + Buffer amplifier + Pre-amplifier + Headphone. Audio signals of each channel are processed by the fully differential audio architecture.

As for the amplifier, K7 adopts THX AAA 788+ which was designed for desktop devices. Under a 300Ω load at 1% distortion of each channel, it can output 560mW, and 2000mW under a 32Ω load at 1% distortion of each channel. The left and right channels of the DAC are each equipped with AKM's latest AK4493SEQ DAC chip, bringing classic high quality and warm sound. As for the USB decoding chip, the XMOS XUF208 in K7 uses dual clock management to handle various music formats with ease.

The K7 features a power supply design consisting of multiple independent stages, with the voltage of each stage being regulated by low noise LDOs. This power supply design is powered by an external 12V switching power supply. Overall, the K7’s power design is designed to deliver abundant and clean power for an extraordinary listening experience. To ensure that the K7 is always working at its best, the overheating, overload, and DC protection systems are in place to bring you an immersive and wonderful listening experience.

In addition, the K7 features a full aluminum alloy construction, carefully finished by CNC and other processes. The small design is only 55mm high. Combined with the brilliant RGB light show, it fits perfectly on modern desks.
