Synology Surveillance Device License 8-Pack (email)

You will receive the code by email and on the invoice.

Please note that this product contains a license key that allows you to activate 8 additional cameras on a Synology at one time. You cannot distribute the licenses across multiple Synology's.

Synology Surveillance Device License Packs are designed to expand the cameras and I/O modules connected to Synology Surveillance Station. By default, two device licenses are installed on a DiskStation or RackStation. However, if Surveillance Station is running on Virtual DSM or Docker DSM, then no default device licenses are included.

Overview

By applying the license key on the Surveillance Station user interface, you can install and manage multiple devices on the network. Usually, each IP camera and I/O module only requires one license. However, there are some cameras that have different billing methods. Please refer to the section below for more information.

To find out the maximum number of IP cameras and I/O modules supported on each Synology product, please refer to the specifications of each model.

Installation

In Surveillance Station, go to Main Menu > Licenses > and then click Add . An installation wizard will guide you through the procedure of adding camera licenses to Surveillance Station.

• After Surveillance Station 7.1, one needs to connect online to activate the license.
