M&K Sound X10+

New carbon fiber woofer cones have been developed for all models with ultra-high strength and rigidity to handle the extra power and excursion of the new X+ series. M&K Sound’s own CNC machined, extruded aluminum Distortion Killer Shorting Rings also ensure absolute control and distortion-free, exemplary performance in all settings.

M&K Sound’s iconic Push-Pull subwoofer architecture and “reversed double driver” non-isobaric configuration means that both drivers are ‘exposed’ to room air within the cabinet. As a result, the X+ Series, like the previous X-Series, are effectively two subwoofers in one cabinet, allowing for even further reduction of distortion. This is achieved by one driver being inverted relative to the other, cancelling non-linearities and producing completely symmetrical waveforms.

The X15+, X12+ and X10+ all feature solid 25mm MDF construction and bracing for negligible panel vibration or cabinet resonance, and increased venting at the base of the woofers reduces distortion from air turbulence. These milled cavities also serve as convenient handles for efficient installation.

Cosmetic changes for the X+ Series come in the form of flush-mounted baffles and convenient invisible magnetic grille fixing mechanisms. Harmonising with the bold yet Scandi-cool looks of the M&K S150 and S300 speakers, the new subwoofers offer cleaner lines and more discreet curved edges to complement living rooms or dedicated home cinema rooms.
