A house for high frequencies

The 700 Series features the latest generation of our iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure. The new, more elongated shape incorporates a longer tube loading system for an even freer, more open sound at high frequencies. The carefully decoupled enclosure is milled from a single solid block of aluminium for greater resistance to resonance.

Sharper details

Carbon dome tweeters are custom-made for the 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the aluminium double dome tweeter, they increase the breakup threshold to 47kHz for accurate imaging and greater detail.

Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behavior that can degrade the performance of a conventional driver unit. The result is a more open, neutral performance that renders voices and instruments with precision and transparency.

Each three-way speaker in the new 700 Series features a dedicated midrange cone that utilises four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and midrange decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal interference with the operation of the speaker’s woofers.
