In a fully open-back design, the driver is the most important component because any diaphragm movement is immediately converted into sound.

The ATH-R50x's open design allows unrestricted airflow that prevents any distortion or artificial amplification of the sound. The headphones deliver pure sound directly from the driver for an authentic open-back listening experience. 

Light design

The headband of the lightweight ATH-R50x (207 g) is designed for hours of comfort.

The replaceable velvet ear cushions and open-back cooling ear cups increase comfort, keeping you fully immersed in the audio, even during the longest listening sessions.
