The BTR17 is equipped with the advanced Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth chip, which supports the latest Bluetooth LE Audio standard and offers a transmission bandwidth of 2.1 Mbps. This chip delivers lossless sound quality via the aptX Adaptive system, delivering CD-level audio over Bluetooth, letting you experience every detail of your music with remarkable clarity.

The BTR17 supports Bluetooth 5.4 and is also compatible with LDAC, aptX Adaptive 96kHz/24bit and aptX Low Latency codecs. Combined with Snapdragon Sound technology, your Bluetooth audio experience is taken to an unprecedented level of quality.

The BTR17 features a dedicated D.Mode (desktop mode) switch and a port to connect an external power supply. When used in desktop mode, the BTR17 functions as a dongle DAC and headphone amplifier. Connecting an external power supply allows the device to draw power via USB, preventing overcharging or discharging of the internal battery. This setup allows the BTR17 to deliver powerful audio output—up to 650mW+650mW in balanced output—without draining your phone’s battery.

The BTR17 is equipped with two ESS ES9069Q DACs based on the advanced 4th generation 32-bit HyperStream architecture. This provides exceptional performance while minimizing power consumption and reducing digital noise. The result is cleaner, richer sound that enhances your music experience.

To ensure seamless audio performance, the BTR17 uses the flagship XMOS XU316 USB chip, which ensures low latency, stable transmission and excellent compatibility. The chip supports 768kHz/32bit audio, DSD512 native and MQA full decoding, and can handle almost any audio format.

FIIO’s engineers have also developed a high-precision 10-band lossless PEQ (parametric equalizer) on the XU316 platform. It provides up to 192k high-definition PEQ adjustments via an app or web interface, allowing you to fine-tune the EQ frequency points, gain, bandwidth, and Q value. The PEQ also lets you simulate or correct the frequency response of headphones, and you can save, share, or import/export custom EQ curves for a personalized audio experience.
