The ELAC Carina FS247.4 is a floorstanding 2-way bass reflex loudspeaker. This beautifully styled Hi-Fi loudspeaker is based on the much-praised 240 series from ELAC and offers a wonderfully dynamic music reproduction. The Carina FS247.4 from ELAC is equipped with the world-famous JET Folded Air-Motion-Transformer, also known as the JET tweeter. This type of tweeter has a unique operation and is particularly advantageous for instruments where the speed contributes to a realistic music experience, such as string instruments and percussion.
For the reproduction of the low tones, the FS247.4 floorstanders are equipped with a double Compound Curvature Aluminium woofer. This speaker delivers a frequency response of 34Hz to 30kHz. The cone of these woofers is made of stiff and super light aluminium. Due to this type of material and the shape of the cone, they seamlessly match the JET tweeters in terms of reproduction properties. In order to optimally decouple the speakers from the floor surface, these speakers are supplied including spikes.
The FS247.4 is primarily aimed at music lovers who prefer an aesthetically pleasing floorstanding speaker with high sound quality. For film lovers, this is also a perfect choice for use as front or surround speakers in a multichannel setup. Due to the powerful and deep bass reproduction, the addition of an active subwoofer is not essential for an optimal experience.
