ELAC Debut S10.2

The ELAC Debut S10.2 is an active subwoofer with a large 250mm long-throw woofer and a powerful built-in 200W amplifier. The subwoofer is equipped with a large 25cm subwoofer that is placed on the bottom of the housing and has a front firing bass reflex port on the front of the subwoofer housing. Due to this construction, the S10.2 can be placed relatively close to the wall, so that it can be integrated into the interior without any problems and this has no adverse effect on the music reproduction. The Debut S10.2 matches perfectly with floorstanding and bookshelf speakers from the Debut 2.0 model series and can also be used in combination with speakers from other brands.

BASH Tracking

All ELAC active subwoofers feature BASH tracking amplifier technology. This is a combination of traditional class A/B and class D amplifier technology where the class D circuit 'follows' the input signal and adjusts the supply voltage of the class A/B power amplifier in such a way that sufficient power is always available when needed, but reduces this when no high power is required. With this, ELAC offers the best of both worlds; an energy-efficient, compact construction and superior sound quality without the high-frequency 'switching' distortion of traditional class D amplifiers.

Complete and widely applicable

The Debut 2.0 S10.2 subwoofer is easily controlled via a stereo RCA line input, automatically switches on when a signal is applied and automatically switches off again when no signal is applied for a longer period. If desired, the subwoofer can be switched on or off manually.

The frequency range is from 35 to 150 Hertz and the lowpass frequency is adjustable from 50 to 150 Hertz, so that the characteristic can be optimally matched to the front speakers in the hi-fi or surround system. The gain can be adjusted manually for an optimal sound balance in the room. Finally, the phase can be rotated 180 degrees. The ELAC Debut S10.2 can therefore be used very widely. Even when the 2.1 stereo or multi-channel surround set does not have an automatic room correction.
