Octa DAC Chip Matrix

The CS43198, a flagship DAC chip from Cirrus Logic, offers outstanding dynamics, outstanding resolution of micro details and an impressively low noise floor, which together ensure exceptional performance. Through iBasso's application, the Octa DAC Chip Matrix guarantees both superior sound quality and leading readings within the DAP segment. The THD+N reaches -123dB, the best value among portable players.

Evolved Audio Controller

After years of algorithm development, iBasso's FPGA-Master is now up to generation 2.0. As the controller of the audio system, it requests audio data directly from the SoC and plays a crucial role in signal representation and maintaining signal integrity.

It synchronizes and generates all audio clocks via two NDK femtosecond oscillators to create a fully synchronized clock source. The FPGA-Master 2.0 additionally provides picosecond-level control and drives the DAC clock and data, as well as building the FIR filter.

The DAC Matrix Magician

Thanks to the new algorithm of the FPGA-Master 2.0, the full potential of the Octa CS43198 DAC chip can be further exploited. The synchronous-parallel output mode reduces distortion between the individual DACs, improving overall performance.

With FIR 2x mode and FIR 4x mode, FPGA-Master 2.0 provides precise picosecond-level control over clock and data streams, with each DAC individually adjustable. Using "delay parallel" between four DACs creates a hardware analog FIR filter that averages out the differences between multiple DACs, reducing distortion and effectively improving sound detail and realism.

Optimized External Power Supply

When the DX260MK2 is connected to a USB charger with sufficient power, power is distributed over two routes. One route powers the DX260MK2 directly and bypasses the internal battery, so it is not charged. The other route charges the battery, but bypasses it completely once it is fully charged. This design provides optimal battery protection and longer battery life.

Android 13 + Mango OS

The DX260MK2 features the latest Android 13 operating system, which allows users to easily install streaming apps for a seamless Android experience. In doing so, it effectively bypasses the SRC at the system level. Whether using Mango Player or a third-party streaming app, the system-level "Non-SRC" always provides the highest possible sound quality.

In addition, the DX260MK2 features Mango OS, a Linux-based audio system carefully designed for superior audio playback. The underlying driver algorithms are highly optimized with a focus on sound quality. This pure audio system has no WiFi or Bluetooth interference, has lower EMI and provides an unparalleled listening experience.
