Designed for the ultimate music and movie experience, the MM8077 seven-channel power amplifier features the same amplifier technologies as our Reference Hi-Fi amplifiers. Marantz's proprietary Current Feedback discrete power amplifier circuits feature high slew-rate and ultra-wide bandwidth for ultimate playback of your high-resolution audio formats.
All power amplifier outputs have identical construction for uniform, high-quality audio reproduction. For maximum configuration flexibility, you can choose between balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs for each channel on the input side. The discrete transistors have high current handling, wide bandwidth and can handle musical bursts with ease, even with more difficult to process low impedance audio signals.
Current Feedback amplification is a well-known circuit technology from Marantz itself. Current Feedback amplifier technology fits perfectly with the high demands of Super Audio software, which delivers high-speed playback over a wide bandwidth. The impedance at the Current Feedback point is limited, providing very low phase shift. Marantz receivers and amplifiers with Current Feedback can minimize phase compensation via negative feedback (NFB), resulting in high throughput, excellent jump characteristics and exceptionally transparent sound across the entire bandwidth. Unlike conventional gain with voltage feedback, gain with current feedback makes the power amplifier insensitive to heavy loudspeaker loads.
The IR Flasher input is a standardized connection for controlling AV systems with an external IR receiver, regardless of the infrared remote control format used. To the IR Flasher OUT you can connect an IR transmitter to control components of other brands. The third connection is the IR receiver INPUT. This is similar to the IR Flasher IN, but outputs a voltage suitable for external IR receiver eyes. For more information on the capabilities of each product, see the specifications.
Marantz's proprietary technology to design power supplies capable of converting every detail of an audio signal to the best sound quality.
An electrical component may look great on paper, but when combined with other components, the result does not always meet expectations. Marantz selects appropriate components for the specific design application. In some cases, it is simply not possible to use standard components that meet Marantz's strict standards. These components are then made specifically for Marantz in close cooperation with our engineers.
