iFi Audio NEO iDSD

The iFi Audio NEO iDSD is a high-quality DSD DAC with built-in pre-amplifier functionality and a high-quality headphone amplifier. This NEO iDSD fills the gap between the iFi Audio ZEN DAC and the high-quality iFi Audio Pro iDSD. Like the ZEN DAC and the Pro iDSD, this NEO iDSD is intended for home use. Featuring a balanced XLR and single-ended RCA line output, the NEO iDSD can be used as a premium DAC in a Hi-Fi set or as a high-quality preamplifier with built-in DAC functionality with which to drive, for example, a set of active speakers.

Easily connect your digital music sources via the coaxial or optical S/PDIF connection, or take advantage of maximum digital resolution via the USB audio input. Wirelessly stream your music in high sound quality via Bluetooth. Those familiar with iFi Audio's ZEN Blue or Aurora music system know how good streaming music can sound via well-implemented Bluetooth technology.

Premium Head-Fi

The NEO iDSD has a powerful amplifier circuit. Its output power is 1000mW at 32 Ohms, allowing it to handle tricky driving headphones as well as ultra-sensitive in-ear monitors. The NEO iDSD features a balanced 4.4mm Pentaconn and a single-ended 6.3mm headphone jack. Place the NEO iDSD vertically with the included aluminum base so it can also serve as a functional headphone stand. The display itself recognizes how the housing is positioned and automatically rotates the convenient information screen with volume and digital resolution 90-degrees.

Well-implemented DAC

iFi Audio uses Burr Brown's DAC chipset selected for sound and True Native architecture in this NEO iDSD. This bit-perfect DAC supports PCM resolutions up to 32-bit/768kHz, DSD up to DSD512, and single- and double-speed DXD. Thanks to the powerful new 16-core XMOS chip, MQA is supported over all inputs and even up to 384kHz via USB. Thanks to the next-level digital engine with advanced jitter correction, iFi's Global Mater Timing, its Femto precision clock, intelligent buffer memory and the Gibbs Transient Optimized digital filter, no detail in the music is lost.

Advanced analog technology

To take full advantage of the digital resolution, the analog part has also been developed with the greatest care. Here iFi uses a dual-mono construction with optimal channel separation and employs a high-precision electronic volume control with an R-2R resistor network. This maximizes resolution at any volume and the analog circuitry has optimal channel equality. Total harmonic distortion is less than 0.0015% and signal noise distance is over 120dB. This is, especially in this price range, very special.
