With its super-compact size, the OBERON 1 is the smallest member of the OBERON series. The enclosure size provides an optimal balance between internal volume and low-end performance, and a compact cabinet design suitable for small rooms and discrete hi-fi systems or for wall mounting.

Like its larger relatives, the OBERON 1 uses the oversized 29-millimeter ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter for the treble a detailed midrange, while the 13-centimeter wood-fiber woofer with SMC technology reproduces the lower midrange and tight bass. When DALI began work on the OBERON speaker series, they selected the best elements of their existing speakers and brought them together in a series that excels in sound quality, appearance and versatility.

Because the OBERON 1 is so compact, it can easily be placed in any room. To create a wide dispersion in the listening room, the materials for the loudspeaker units and the geometry used in the OBERON 1 were carefully chosen. The same principles have been applied to the design of the crossover.

As result, you will experience a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. This is important as you are rarely seated directly in front of your loudspeakers when listening to music. An added benefit is seriously reduced harmonic distortion and diffractions causing frequency distortion, as these will be much more likely when the speaker is positioned directly onto the listening position. This is also the reason why all DALI speakers are not designed to be toed-in.
