The ONIX Zenith XST20 is an uncompromising high-end SACD/CD transport, designed for enthusiasts of pure, unadulterated disc playback. Designed to unlock the full potential of SACD, the Zenith XST20 offers true DSD output to external DACs with DSD support. DSD64 is transmitted directly via a native I2S connection, while DSD64 DoP is available via coaxial, optical, AES, and BNC outputs. This allows you to experience SACDs exactly as intended, with maximum resolution, smooth timing, and exceptional musical precision. In addition to SACDs, the XST20 also supports standard CDs and MQA CDs, including 4× MQA expansion, allowing modern high-resolution discs to be enjoyed to their fullest.

The playback quality is further enhanced by the classic top-loader design with a traditional disc clamp and a high-quality Sanyo DH870 laser drive. This combination ensures extremely stable reading, minimal vibrations, and maximum accuracy, regardless of whether you are playing single-layer or multi-layer SACDs. Everything about the XST20 is geared towards optimal disc performance, without compromise.

A particularly strong point of the Zenith XST20 is its FPGA-supported I2S output. Because there is no fixed standard for I2S connections, compatibility is often a challenge. The XST20 elegantly solves this by supporting 10 different I2S pin configurations, allowing it to work seamlessly with virtually any high-end DAC on the market. This makes the XST20 an extremely versatile transport in serious audio setups.

Internally, nothing has been left to chance either. The XST20 uses a Talema 25VA toroidal transformer for a clean, stable power supply and an extremely accurate 48.1584 MHz clock for perfect signal synchronization. Together, these high-quality components ensure a low-jitter, transparent, and true-to-life digital output.

The housing reflects the same level of sophistication as the technology inside. The fully CNC-milled aluminum construction exudes strength and elegance, with subtle gold accents that enhance the classic ONIX design.
