Shanling EH2
The Shanling EH2 builds on the minimalist design of the EH1, but is more powerful, sophisticated and designed for the true hi-fi enthusiast. Inside the same sleek aluminum enclosure - but twice as deep - is an in-house developed 24bit R2R DAC, inspired by Shanling's classic high-end designs such as the CD-T300.
The EH2 delivers natural, musical sound, with up to 4.3 watts @ 32Ω via the balanced 4.4 mm output - ample for even the most demanding headphones. It also offers a 1.3 watt single-ended output (6.35 mm), and switchable line-out / pre-out connections via RCA and 4.4 mm.
Tone control with physical Bass and Treble knobs has been retained, as has simple operation without screens or software menus. New are the expanded inputs: USB with XMOS XU316, coaxial and optical SPDIF, and Bluetooth 5.2 with support for LDAC and aptX Adaptive.
Connected via an included 12 V power adapter, the EH2 is a serious desktop solution for anyone seeking uncompromising sound quality in a compact and stylish design.
