Shanling M5 Ultra 10th
In celebration of Shanling's 10th anniversary, the brand is releasing a special edition of the M5 Ultra: the M5 Ultra 10th Anniversary Edition. This high-end portable music player combines the power and sophistication of the original M5 Ultra with a series of exclusive upgrades aimed at the true enthusiast.
Like the original, the anniversary edition is built around the powerful AKM AK4499EX DAC + AK4191 modulator duo, combined with a balanced TPA6120A2 amplifier. But especially for this edition, the audio presentation has been further optimized for a warmer, analog sound - inspired by the classic "vintage hi-fi" signature.
Shanling used rare and high-quality components, including Panasonic capacitors and Elna Silmic II electrolytic capacitors, which contribute to a richer and more natural soundstage. Internally, the cabling was also upgraded with single-crystal copper for maximum purity and detail.
The iconic body has been retained, with a robust aluminum frame, large 4.7-inch touchscreen, and physical buttons. In this edition, the volume knob features a gold finish and an engraved anniversary logo.
Of course, the player has all the features of Shanling's MTouch platform, including USB-DAC, DLNA, AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.2 (LDAC/aptX HD), and a Tidal streaming app.
