Analog perfection

Send the audio signal single-ended in via the RCA line input or 3.5mm input and balanced via the 4.4mm Pentaconn jack. This headphone amplifier is analog from input to output. This means no USB or S/PDIF connections are available. Do you do need digital inputs? Then combine this ZEN CAN with an iFi ZEN DAC. Do you enjoy streaming from iOS or Android via Bluetooth? Then simply connect a ZEN Blue to this ZEN CAN. Functionality

Suitable for any type of headphones, this ZEN CAN features a 6.3mm and a 4.4mm Pentaconn headphone jack. iFi has placed a gain switch on the front that amplifies in 6dB increments from 0dB, 6dB, 12dB to 18dB. Set the gain to 0dB for in-ear, and switch up to maximum gain when you have planar headphones that are difficult to drive. Specifically for open-back headphones where the bass output decreases directly proportional to frequency, iFi has implemented XBass which amplifies the low and sublow in such a way that a linear frequency characteristic is created by ear.

In addition, iFi has added its 3D sound optimization to this headphone amplifier. 3D is primarily intended for music albums where playback is literally experienced between the ears. With 3D, the ZEN CAN pulls the playback apart in such a way that voices are beautifully rendered centrally, but details and effects are realistically placed in space creating a wider and deeper soundstage. This iFi ZEN CAN headphone amplifier will take the performance of any headphones to a significantly higher level.
