Listen in silence

Because in-ear monitors are inserted into the ear canal, they attenuate ambient noise very effectively, but do not filter out everything. If you want to listen to music undisturbed or concentrate quietly on your work or studies, Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) is the answer. In some models, this can be set to filter out only the annoying frequencies in the environment so that you remain in optimal contact with your surroundings, or to filter out all ambient noise for almost total silence.

Which driver?

In in-ear headphones, different driver types are used. In entry-level models, the manufacturer usually applies dynamic drivers that reproduce the entire audio band. In higher price ranges, so-called Balanced Armature drivers are more often used. Depending on the price range, one or more BA drivers are applied to reproduce low, mid and high. Some premium in-ears even have an additional dynamic driver for even deeper low-end reproduction.

If you are a critical music lover and go exclusively for the very highest sound quality, we also supply headphones with magnetostatic and electrostatic drivers. These drivers deliver very fast and homogeneous music reproduction. Such 'planar' drivers are mainly used in the higher price classes and deliver the best performance with a good quality (portable) headphone amplifier. Fit and comfort

Because your ear is not the same as someone else's, manufacturers supply tips in different sizes and of different materials for an optimal fit. The better the fit, the better the wearing comfort and the higher the sound quality. In addition to weight, the way they are worn also determines wearing comfort. Here you can choose between ear hooks, an over the ear construction, a neckband or a wireless variant. This choice is very personal.
